Spring Has Come! Well, not only does the calendar say that it is spring, the grass, trees and flowers proudly proclaim that spring has come!
I love spring – it is the reminder that life goes on. As the seasons move one into the other we are reminded of the great cycles of our lives. This winter and early spring has been difficult within our church family as we grieved the loss of several faithful members.
Yet, as we continue to move through the season of Easter we celebrate their blessed resurrection. In the changing of the seasons we are reminded that life goes on and new birth comes after the cold of winter.
As spring begins to take over our world we can celebrate the blessed gift of resurrection that is there for all of us. One day we will all celebrate our reunion with Christ at our death. So until that day, while life is present, find resurrection in relationships and dreams.
Take a few moments in the busied world to find resurrection. Reconnect with an old friend, follow a dream, or renew a passion. God gives us the gifts of spring to remind us all of the greatest gift of all, the resurrection of Jesus Christ for all of us.
